Church and Community

United Christian Church provides a meeting place for a number of service-oriented and community-oriented organizations. Almost every day of the week there are activities and meetings, including those listed below. Our church is a busy place!

Emergency Relief Association

United Christian Church provides rent-free space to the Emergency Relief Association (ERA), a separate nonprofit corporation. Primarily a food cupboard, ERA also distributed funds for assistance with rent, utilities, prescriptions and other emergencies.

The Emergency Relief Association is operated by a board of directors and volunteers from several churches. It derives its income and food supplies from state grants, a federal food program, and donations from individuals, religious congregations and other organizations.
